Altar
Guild: The Altar Guild assists the Rector in preparation for all
liturgies and
is responsible for the baking of altar bread.

Choir:
The Grace Church choir donates their time and talent for musical
leadership of
worship, under the leadership of our choir director and accompanied by
our
organist. The choir regularly rehearses on Wednesday evenings and
between
Sunday morning services.

Christian
Formation: The Christian Formation Commission assists the
Rector in the
planning and oversight of Christian education and formation for all
ages, including
Sunday school, youth programs, Adult
Forum, campus ministry, and Confirmation Classes.

Hospitality:
The Hospitality Commission hosts
parish events, welcomes and hosts visiting groups, coordinates food
for the homebound and for families at times of special need, and is
generally responsible for parish hospitality.

Landscape:
the Landscape Commission is responsible for developing and maintaining
the sacred space of our lawn and gardens.
Liturgy
& Fine Arts: The Liturgy and Fine Arts Commission assists the
Rector in
liturgical matters, offers advice upon the Rectors’ request, studies
and
discusses liturgical theology, assists in articulating the rationale
for
liturgical changes, promotes the fine arts, and promotes the Baptismal
Covenant.

Newcomer:
The Newcomer Commission responds to newcomers and visitors and provides
information about the Christian faith, the Episcopal/Anglican
tradition, and
Grace Church Parish.
Neighborhood Ministries: Grace Church hosts several neighborhood
ministries,
including a monthly family movie night, the East Central Neighborhood
Association, a coupon exchange coordinated by Take Five Community
Outreach, and activities of the East Central Redevelopment Corporation.

Outreach: The Outreach
Commission coordinates parish efforts for outreach to the greater
community.
Projects it currently sponsors are the Christian Ministries’ Food
Pantry and homeless shelter for men, and the A Better Way shelter for
abused women.
Stewardship:
The Stewardship Commission is responsible for year-round stewardship
education
and empowerment, coordinating parish pledges, and endowment, and
promoting such non-financial
stewardship as community projects, health, fitness, and
environmental
concerns.
